Proxy Settings and the Authorization System for External Access to Library Databases
By our license agreement with the electronic libraries and databases we use, these libraries and databases are only accessible from the IP numbers of Istanbul Gelişim University. When the databases are requested to be connected from anywhere other than Istanbul Gelisim University, these databases provide user authentication by user name and password query. When you connect to databases in Istanbul Gelisim University via an internet browser, the user's IP address is checked by this site and an IP address is provided between Istanbul Gelisim University's valid IP addresses without asking user name and password. Therefore we use Proxy server.
The system will perform a User name and Password query when accessing the databases specified by the Library and Documentation Department. Your other internet traffic will go through the internet line you are using.
Your username and password are the same as the information you use for Wifi in the organization.
(If you have problems with this password, you can use the E-KAPI system to change/renew. To do this: After logging into the https://e-kapi.gelisim.edu.tr/ system, you can renew your wi-fi (wireless internet) password from the https://e-kapi.gelisim.edu.tr/Password/PasswordManage section. The proxy system will ask you to enter the wi-fi information.)
