As you know, Ebook Central content grows every year with quality academic content without sacrificing content quality. In line with special agreements with many prestigious publishers such as Wiley, Taylor & Francis, Oxford University Press, and Brill, thousands of books from these publishers can be accessed only with an Ebook Central subscription. About 60% of Ebook Central content cannot be accessed by subscription method from any other platform.
Providing textbook materials electronically is a much more effective method for libraries, both in terms of cost and providing access to many users at the same time. Unfortunately, many textbooks do not have electronic formats today.
The textbook content included in the Ebook Central subscription package is increasing day by day. Currently, there are 3,400 textbooks in the Ebook Central subscription package. With 3 user access models, institutions that subscribe to Ebook Central provide unlimited access to all of these books with a purchase price of approximately 1 million dollars. Our university has a subscription to Proquest Ebook Central.
