Dear EKUAL Members,
 
Within the scope of TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM EKUAL, the Read & Publish agreement signed with the Institute of Physics (IOP), covering the period 2026–2028, entered into force on January 1, 2026.
 
In this context;

• All institutions that are members of EKUAL IOPScience Extra and Electrochemical Society (ECS) will be able to access its content.
• Corresponding Authors from EKUAL member institutions will be able to publish an unlimited number of articles in hybrid and Gold (fully open access) journals as Open Access (OA) without paying Article Processing Fees (APC).
• Articles submitted from January 1, 2026 onwards are covered by the agreement.

A note detailing the agreement and its implementation guidelines is attached. For current journal lists and guidance documents, please visit the EKUAL DATABASES page. The open access publishing process, workflow, and implementation guidelines can also be accessed via the following links:
