The 62nd Library Week is starting. This year, Library Week will be celebrated in our country between March 30th and April 5th, 2026. It is celebrated annually with various events both worldwide and in our country. As part of the week, we will be awarding the top 10 students who borrowed resources from our library in 2025 with various gifts from our Rector on Thursday, April 2nd, 2026 at 2 PM. The list of students is attached. We congratulate them.

 

On the same day, at 8:00 PM, a training session titled "Introduction to Library Services and Answering User Questions" will be held on Google Meet, providing information on the following topics:

 

* Searching printed resources with the KOHA catalog search system,

* Subscribed databases,

* TÜBİTAK-ULAKBİM databases,

* EKUAL Discovery Tool,

* Accessing library databases from outside the institution (Proxy and YETKİM systems),

* Istanbul Gelişim University Institutional Open Access Archive (DSpace@Gelişim),

* Interlibrary Loan System (KİTS),

* Two important resources for thesis research and finding thesis topics: PROQUEST Thesis Database and YÖK Thesis Catalog,

* Using the Turkish Documentation System (TÜBESS) to access theses that are inaccessible in the YÖK Thesis Catalog,

* Searching journals, articles, and citations in Web of Science and Scopus systems,

* Questions about iThenticate, Turnitin, and intihal.net systems. Answering your questions,

* Information about Read and Publish agreements,

* Book Citation Index (BKCI),

 

* ClinicalTrials.gov Protocol Registration and Results System (PRS),

* Books and journals published by IGU Publications,
